We are pleased to offer a summary of three recent SHEA poster presentations. Firstly Ryder et al describe the “Differences in Bacterial Transfer and Fluid Path Colonization through Needlefree Connector-Catheter Systems In-Vitro”. In another study Moore et al review “Three Years Experience of Central Line Associated Bloodstream Infections in the Intensive Care Units and Blood and Marrow Transplant Unit at an Academic Medical Center”. Finally, Landreth et al present “A Multi-Faceted Approach to Reduction of Blood Culture Contaminants at an Academic Medical Center”.
